    January 10, 2023 / No Comments

    Thailand is constantly being praised for its rich and flavourful dishes. Chiang Mai is definitely included and is often labelled as a food paradise by foodies. This mixture gives it an interesting chewy texture and…

The Martini conjures images of sensually lit loung The Martini conjures images of sensually lit lounges and coquettish overtures giving way to full-blown debauchery. But far be it to reduce so fine an invention to such singularly dimensional stereotypes. Declared "the only American invention as perfect as the sonnet" by H. L. Mencken, the Martini has spawned many a delightful variation in the decades since its nascence.

@nancy.shukri: 31 March 2022

The Asean Food and Travel Awards 2022 was held to honour micro-businesses in the industry that have promoted Malaysia’s authentic cuisines and beautiful destinations, putting our country on the world map.

For our favourite food or just to try something new, we are willing to travel miles. It is a journey worth taking, especially when the destination is just as wonderful. As the saying goes, “sambil menyelam, minum air,” or killing two birds with one stone.

Malaysia has welcomed 26.1 million tourist arrivals and out of that, 17.89 million arrivals were from ASEAN countries, with a total expenditure of RM 86.1 million. Out of this, RM11 million or 13.3% were from the food and beverages component in 2019.

The ASEAN Food and Travel Awards 2022 was presented to 32 awardees from various categories and I am proud of each and every one of them.

Hence, I'd like to extend my heartiest congratulations to the organising committee for this remarkable event.
