Instead of traditional canvas tents that are typically associated with nature retreats, this retreat has several stargazing-friendly glamping domes with boho-chic decor including a huge rattan bed.

Guests can laze around inside without feeling like they’re missing out on much in the outdoors, as the semi-transparent glamping domes let you marvel at the glittery splendour of the night sky and nature – all while shielded from pesky insects and the hot weather.

The Hooton Retreat has several different domes and villas, each boasting great views of the outdoors. For a night stay in their glamping domes, go for the Dome Otus, which is the most affordable room they have here but with all the fun of spending a night in a dome tent intact.

If you’re willing to go all out with a luxurious dome, there’s Dome Tyto Premium Suites which has a private bathroom which is recommended for a small family or a group of friends and Dome Tyto Honeymoon Suite that has a private outdoor jacuzzi which is recommended for couples looking to have a romantic getaway. The domes have air coolers allowing for proper ventilation, standing mirrors, towels, toiletries, drinking water, umbrellas, and closets.

If dome tents are not your thing, opt for the Bubo Cote Studio. A minimalist studio with a mezzanine floor that ensures guests enjoy extra space and comfort in the unit which is equipped with air-conditioning. An indoor-designed ladder leads to a cosy bed area with an amazing nightscape. Exquisite living area with a modern hanging chair and bean bag which is recommended for a small family or a group of friends.

If you’re travelling in a larger group, there are two villas that you can rent, each one can accommodate 8 to 10 guests. The premium Villa Aegolius is an all-glass villa surrounded by a canopy of trees. This two-storey accommodation is roomy enough to house a group of eight and has modern comforts such as a private outdoor kitchen, dining area, air-conditioning, and even a viewing deck. A public swimming pool is just right in front of the villa.

Fitness junkies can opt to go on a jungle-trekking exploration of nearby– namely Bukit Baginda and Bukit Batu Sawa, which are all under a 35-minute drive from the retreat.
