Food Expo PRO, Hong Kong International Tea Fair to return in August 2026

Two prominent food and beverage (F&B) trade events in Asia, Food Expo PRO and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair will be held from Aug 13 to 15, 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, providing a key business platform for industry players to explore new products, build partnerships and expand market access.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the events will bring together global suppliers, buyers and professionals from across the F&B supply chain.

Food Expo PRO will be open exclusively to trade buyers during its first two days before welcoming public ticket-holders on the final day. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong International Tea Fair will be accessible to both trade buyers and the public throughout the three-day exhibition.

In 2025, the fairs attracted about 18,500 buyers from 64 countries and regions, including importers, wholesalers, distributors, hotel groups, restaurants and retailers. Participants came from markets such as mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and several ASEAN countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines.

The participation highlights Hong Kong’s strategic position as a major food trading hub in Asia, supported by its strong logistics capabilities and supply chain infrastructure.

A key highlight of the 2026 Food Expo PRO will be the introduction of a new Meat Zone, which will showcase a variety of premium meat products including chilled and frozen meats, processed meat items and speciality offerings from global suppliers.

The zone aims to connect exhibitors with professional buyers seeking premium protein products and sustainable sourcing opportunities, particularly in the Greater Bay Area and other Asian markets.

Food Expo PRO will also continue to spotlight the growing halal segment. Since the introduction of a dedicated halal food and beverage label in 2024, the exhibition has featured an expanding range of halal-certified products. In 2025, more than 120 suppliers presented halal products including snacks, condiments and seafood.

A seminar on the development of a halal-friendly environment in Hong Kong will be held during the expo to discuss industry standards and rising global demand for halal products.

Other featured zones include the Food Science and Technology zone, which highlights alternative and future foods, and the Coffee Zone, which will showcase coffee beans, brewing equipment and accessories alongside demonstrations and industry talks.

Running concurrently, the Hong Kong International Tea Fair will continue to serve as a major marketplace for the global tea industry, featuring premium teas, teaware and tea-related products.

The fair will also highlight emerging beverage trends such as sparkling tea, kombucha and other innovative tea-based drinks.

Several activities will be organised during the event, including the Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum and the Hong Kong Final of the China and Greater Bay Area KamCha Competition 2026, which celebrates the craftsmanship of Hong Kong-style milk tea.

Both exhibitions will adopt HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, combining physical exhibitions with online business matching via the Click2Match platform from Aug 6 to 22.

The events will run alongside several consumer exhibitions, including the Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo and Home Delights Expo.
