When it comes immersive dining experiences, The Grand Hyatt have outdone themselves and taken the ‘immersive’ part to a whole other level with The Grand Getaway, an airplane-themed fine dining venture, taking guests all over the world without them ever having to leave the comfort of their seats.

Joining forces with MD Events Asia Sdn. Bhd., The Grand Hyatt wanted to give travel enthusiasts a chance to relive the experience of flying and dining abroad again amidst times where doing so is but a distant memory and left unforeseen until further vaccination. 

Through the use of 360° LED technology with avant-garde audio-visual effects engineered to enhance one’s vision of being a luxe flight passenger with the complement of a full-course dining expedition, guest will be left mesmerized by this experience that fully emulates the ambience of a real airport, from their welcoming airline crew in full flight attendant garb and character to assisting guests at the check-in counter for verification of boarding passes. Yes, they have boarding passes. Talk about authentic!

Upon arriving at the Grand Ballroom, the foyer comes alive with the hustle and bustle of airline affairs, airport security and flight information board where genuine life-size props and a 360° destination simulator invites guests to enjoy numerous photo opportunities.

The two-hour journey will take guests aboard Go Grand Airways where a multi-sensory ride to remarkable destinations around the world with gastronomic sensations and mind-blowing displays of sound, light and special effects awaits as guests are lavished with a 5-course menu that is expected to elevate the overall in-flight experience. 

The Grand Getaway runs nightly from Mondays to Sundays and Public Holidays with one dinner show from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Grand Ballroom. Their menu starts with Premium Economy Class from MYR 450 nett per person. First Class Suite and Family Getaway packages are available inclusive of room stay, breakfast and return chauffeur services.
