Rémy Martin and Atelier Thiery Pay Tribute To French Excellence With Limited-Edition XO Decanter
Rémy Martin has tapped renowned Parisian gilding studio Atelier Thiery for a one-of-a-kind limited-edition Rémy Martin XO decanter. Each bottle features a numbered carafe and is gilded with an 18-karat gold leaf, inspired by its blend of up to 400 finest Rémy Martin eaux-de-vie, sourced exclusively from Grand Champagne and Petite Champagne located in the Cognac region.
The decanter’s special edition box takes inspiration from the ancient artisanal technique of verre églomisé, and is so designed with gold foils, giving it an almost textured mirror-like effect.
To commemorate the duo’s innovative collaboration, Belgian designer Charles Kaisin has also created a monumental work of art with The Centaur. A collection of 1,724 18-karat gold adorned centaurs, suspended to form a shimmering, dreamlike portrait of the relationship between fine art, expertise, and the art de vivre, paying tribute to the French cognac firm’s founding in 1724. The sculpture was exhibited at The Design Museum in London from June 17 to June 28 before making its round at La Maison Rémy Martin in Cognac, France.
The limited-edition Rémy Martin XO x Atelier Thiery bottle is available in-store and online at Reserve Bar in limited quantities.
