LEGOLAND Malaysia ushers in Year of the Horse with month-long Lunar New Year celebration

LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is welcoming the Lunar New Year with a vibrant month-long celebration inspired by the Year of the Horse, transforming the theme park into a festive landscape that blends cultural traditions with imaginative LEGO play.

Running from Jan 22 to Feb 22, 2026, the Lunar New Year festivities are themed ‘Garden of Prosperity’, featuring an immersive environment adorned with glowing red lanterns, cherry blossom displays and a series of brick-built attractions designed for families and visitors of all ages.

The centrepiece of the celebration is a striking 2.4-metre LEGO Horse installation, symbolising strength, renewal and good fortune. Inspired by the LEGO 40779 Year of the Horse Chinese Zodiac Limited Edition set, the structure carries an auspicious scroll bearing blessings for the year ahead and serves as a key photo attraction within the park.

Throughout the celebration period, guests can take part in a variety of interactive activities designed to encourage creativity and family engagement. Visitors can collect an activity card and explore the park while completing themed challenges, unlocking experiences within the ‘Garden of Prosperity’ through hands-on LEGO building.

Among the featured activities are Build-A-Horse sessions, LEGO Orange Tree making, a LEGO Chinese Calligraphy mural experience, Minifigure Trading, as well as a ‘LEGO Horse Post & Win’ activity that offers weekly prizes for guests who capture photos with the Horse centrepiece.

The celebrations will reach their peak from Feb 17 to Feb 22 with the Spring Festival Spectacular, showcasing a series of cultural performances inspired by traditional Lunar New Year customs. Performances include lion and dragon dances, acrobatic high-pole and stilt-walking acts, oriental live music, Chinese face-changing shows and ancient drum performances.

In addition, daily live shows such as Brick of Prosperity, Lunar Beats Spectacular and Finale of Fortune will be staged throughout the celebration period, featuring music, colourful visuals and interactive segments aimed at celebrating unity, joy and new beginnings.

Extending the festive cheer beyond performances, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will also host a Fortune Fest from Feb 17 to Feb 22. Guests who spend a minimum of RM188 in a single receipt at participating retail or food and beverage outlets stand a chance to win LEGO sets worth up to RM800, with total prizes valued at RM10,000.

To mark the Year of the Horse, the resort is offering limited-time promotions on day tickets and annual passes during the festive period. For Malaysian families, a special Family Annual Pass Bundle has also been introduced, allowing customers to enjoy exclusive savings with the purchase of at least three Triple Park Annual Passes.

With festive décor, interactive LEGO activities, cultural showcases and prize giveaways, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort’s Lunar New Year 2026 celebration aims to provide a meaningful and joyful experience for families to reconnect, honour traditions and create lasting memories together.
