Ayam Taliwang

Bebalung

This typical Lombok dish consists of buffalo or cow ribs and tail. At first glance, it might look like an ordinary beef soup, but when you eat it, you will know that it has a unique taste that makes it stand out. This is due to the style of cooking and usage of various herbs and spices that comes from an ancient recipe known by Lombok’s Sasak tribe.

Different families from different regions in Lombok have their own version of the famous dish and locals usually eat it with a plate of rice to increase their stamina.

Sate Rembiga

Sate Rembiga is a simple, yet appetising dish. It consists of pieces of meat that are marinated with flavourful ingredients before being grilled.

Although there are other types of satay in Lombok, Sate Rembiga is considered the best one due to its delicious taste and obvious popularity among locals and tourists.  It is normally eaten with sauce, rice, tempe, tofu, and vegetables.
