Bega Showcases Their New Shredded Cheese Range in Malaysia and New Achievement in The Malaysia Book of Records
Bega Group’s Malaysian entity (Berri Asia Sdn Bhd) officially launched its’ new Bega branded Shredded Cheese range at an exclusive event held at Botanica+Co, Bamboo Hills.
The newly Shredded Cheese range comprises of three variants: Mozzarella, Cheddar and Cheese Melt; each developed to meet the evolving needs of both retail consumers and foodservice operators. Manufactured in Malaysia and using quality cheese sourced from New Zealand and European countries, these products are Halal certified, suitable for vegetarians and are produced to deliver consistent quality, reliable melting performance and versatility across a wide range of menu applications.

Throughout the event, invited guests had the opportunity to experience thoughtfully curated menus featuring dishes crafted with the new range; highlighting its’ distinctive flavour, texture, meltability and stretch performance. The dishes demonstrated how the product can enhance a wide variety of applications, inspiring culinary creativity and new menu development possibilities for retail and foodservice professionals.
On top of this, a live demonstration with an interactive tasting session featuring the versatility of Bega branded Shredded Cheese application was also led by the current President of the Professional Culinaire Association (Malaysia) to showcase the versatility and culinary potential of the range.

In addition to the event highlights was the official recognition for Bega Group by the Malaysia Book of Records on the successful creation of the Largest Oven Baked Cheese Melt Sandwich Formation. The achievement was made possible through a collaboration between Bega Group’s Malaysian entity (Berri Asia Sdn Bhd) and Silent Teddies, a social enterprise dedicated in empowering the deaf and hard of hearing community through meaningful employment and social inclusion initiatives.
The record-breaking creation was assembled over five hours using a selection of Bega Group products. Beyond the achievement itself, the initiative reflected a shared commitment in bringing people together through food while supporting a more inclusive and empowered community.
As part of the events’ community service initiative, all sandwiches were distributed through Silent Teddies to varying charity partners, reflecting Bega Group’s commitment to reduce food waste whilst creating meaningful impact within local communities.
